This video work combines photographs taken at two locations, Chinatown in Melbourne and rainy streets in Paris, with the step printing film style inspired by Wong Kar-Wai, a renowned Hong Kong film director. Light trails, dark streets, mist, the contemporary expression of a colonial empire and a relatively new immigration nation, where does an individual’s cultural background stand in this world?
